Your Impact:
Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager and based in Auckland, you will lead the global export logistics function, ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of products to our international markets.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of export operations from end to end to drive efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling our products to reach consumers around the world. You will influence commercial success, navigate global supply challenges, and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
- Overseeing the end-to-end export process including shipment bookings, customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitoring global shipping trends, port congestion, carrier performance, and geopolitical developments to proactively adjust export strategies.
- Leading export planning from product release through to final dispatch with 3PL partners.
- Managing export budget performance, analysing freight spend, and identifying cost-to-serve optimisation opportunities.
- Resolving operational issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement.
- Managing relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and manufacturing partners to ensure service levels and performance.
- Owning export KPIs including DIFOT, lead times, documentation accuracy, and cost efficiency, and presenting insights to senior leaders.
- Championing initiatives to digitise, automate, and streamline export processes.
What you will bring:
- Significant experience (7+ years) in export logistics, international supply chain, or global operations.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
- Proven leadership experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with supply chain systems and export documentation platforms, plus strong ERP system knowledge (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills to support reporting and decision-making.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving capability, and the ability to interpret global logistics trends.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or similar.
