Our Story

The a2 Milk Company, driven by science and a pioneering spirit, disrupted the dairy and infant milk formula industry. We’re now looking for an experienced Leading Hand to support day-to-day production at our Smeaton Grange manufacturing site (NSW), ensuring high-quality output, safe operations, and strong teamwork on every shift.

What you’ll do

In this hands-on leadership role, you will:

• Coordinate daily production and warehouse activities to deliver against plan
• Lead by example championing safety, quality, and a proactive team culture
• Coach and support production operators to build capability and engagement
• Troubleshoot issues to maintain production flow and minimise downtime
• Monitor performance, maintain GMP and hygiene standards, and escalate issues promptly
• Support CI and Lean initiatives to drive operational excellence
• Actively participate in incident investigations and quality actions
• Promote our BOLD values and drive strong communication across shifts

Your leadership will ensure products are made right-first time, safely, and efficiently while building a positive, high-performance culture.

About you

You’ll thrive here if you bring:
- A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in FMCG / food or dairy manufacturing (essential)
-  Experience coordinating teams or acting in a senior operator/leading hand capacity
- Strong commitment to safety, GMP, HACCP and quality excellence
 - Ability to coach others and build a collaborative, engaged team
 - Problem-solving skills and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- A current forklift licence
