About the role:
The Logistics Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing end-to-end site logistics operations, ensuring the safe, compliant, timely and cost-effective movement of ingredients and finished goods. Based at Pokeno and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role leads all on-site warehousing functions while managing the interface with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
You will be responsible for safeguarding service levels, inventory accuracy and export documentation quality, while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Planning and Finance teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
- Managing inbound and outbound logistics flows for raw materials, packaging and finished goods between site, suppliers and 3PL warehouses
- Acting as the primary operational contact for 3PL providers, monitoring SLA and KPI performance (OTIF, stock accuracy, damages, cycle counts) and driving issue resolution
- Leading inventory control processes including reconciliations, cycle counts, stocktakes, investigations and root cause analysis
- Overseeing export documentation and finished goods invoicing to ensure compliance and accuracy
What you will bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in logistics, warehousing or supply chain roles within FMCG, manufacturing or food processing environments
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and performance outcomes
- Strong understanding of inventory control, export logistics and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, optimise logistics costs and enhance service performance
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in dairy, infant formula or other regulated food environments will be highly regarded.
