The role:
This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for the end-to-end governance, planning, and execution of major capital investments and strategic manufacturing initiatives across a2MC’s global manufacturing portfolio.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring capital and cross-functional initiatives deliver on scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and compliance, while strengthening the connection between Group Manufacturing strategy and site execution.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
- Leading capital planning, portfolio governance, and stage-gate approvals across manufacturing sites
- Establishing and governing project charters, scopes, cost plans, schedules, change control, and reporting
- Managing complex capex projects in live manufacturing environments, including FAT/SAT, commissioning, and operational readiness
- Coordinating engineering consultants, OEMs, contractors, and internal stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Quality
- Driving risk management, safety in design, HAZOPs, contractor safety, and compliance with food manufacturing and regulatory standards
- Delivering cross-functional strategic projects focused on productivity, automation, OEE improvement, digital transformation, and network optimisation
What you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Industrial, or similar)
- 5+ years’ experience leading capital projects within food, dairy, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including capex budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and ROI analysis
- Deep experience with project governance frameworks (e.g. stage-gate, PMBOK, PRINCE2) and disciplined reporting
- Proven ability to manage contractors, engineering consultants, and OEMs while influencing senior internal stakeholders
- Experience working across multi-site or group manufacturing environments (highly desirable)
- Exposure to automation, utilities, packaging, or infant formula manufacturing projects (advantageous)
- A safety-first mindset, strong problem-solving capability, and the ability to thrive in complex, fast-moving environments
