Your role:

At The a2 Milk Company, we believe in doing dairy differently. Our unique brand is built on care – for our customers, our farmers and the quality of every drop we product. As we continue to grow we are looking for a Milk Supply Manager to join our New Zealand based team to develop and implement regional milk pool strategies that align with a2MC’s broader supply chain strategy. 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, finance, quality and logistics to ensure optimal supply chain performance. Strong supplier relationships, sharp commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to industry engagement will be key to your success. 

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver milk sourcing strategies to align with demand and market dynamics.
• Conduct market trend analysis, pricing reviews, and demand forecasting.
• Stay ahead of industry regulations and support internal compliance initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams to optimize the end-to-end supply chain.
• Oversee national milk pool volumes to balance supply efficiency with cost control and waste reduction.

More about You;

We are looking for the following skills and experience needed for this role.

• Knowledge of and experience in managing milk supply in the dairy industry in New Zealand and/or Australia 
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in dairy/supply chain within the agricultural sector
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate market and supply data into strategic insights 
• Familiarity with local and government regulations affecting the dairy industry is a plus
