More about the role:

Reporting to the Head of Product Development - NZ and based at our Auckland office, this role will drive innovation as part of our growing global footprint across the Infant Milk Formula market.   You will work closely with our Product Development team, managing the technical development and delivery of the Infant Nutrition programme, consisting of multiple projects across ANZ, China, and other markets. Bringing your extensive experience across NPD ,you will drive the development of new products, reformulating existing products, and initiating cost-saving measures. 

More specifically, you will:
 • Lead end-to-end delivery of Infant Nutrition projects across multiple markets
 • Develop and commercialise new non-infant nutritional powder products
 • Guide third-party manufacturers on formulations, specs, and compliance
 • Conduct in-house product development, ensuring market fit and cost targets
 • Oversee ingredient sourcing, prototypes, trials, and shelf-life validation
 • Manage scale-up, testing, and first production to ensure timely launch
 • Partner with Science and Regulatory teams to explore new tech and ingredients
 • Analyse competitors and provide insights for innovation strategy
 • Identify and mitigate product development risks
 • Maintain all product and packaging specifications, including glossaries

 About you:

• Strong understanding of China export market requirements and regulatory landscape
 • Experience in the formulation, development, and delivery of dairy-based infant nutrition and nutritional powders across multiple markets is essential.
 • Degree qualified in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or other related science degree.
 • Ability to provide technical advice and expertise on new ingredients, new technologies, product formulation, and factory scale-up.
 • Solid track record of product delivery, analytical and problem-solving, and delivering outcomes/results with agility.
 • Ability to partner with and influence a wide range of internal & external stakeholders.
 • Commercially focused & comfortable with a fast-paced culture.
