Your Impact:

Reporting to the Group Head of Sustainability and based at our McMahons Point office (or as negotiated), you will be responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of The a2 Milk Company’s sustainability reporting and disclosures. Additionally, you will support the broader sustainability team in delivering improved social, environmental, and economic outcomes for a2 Milk and its communities.

More specifically, you will be involved in:

• Managing the monitoring, collation, and reporting of key ESG data metrics, including climate, nature, packaging, and people-related metrics.
• Supporting the development of a2MC’s leadership in sustainability/ESG in the dairy sector and working to improve performance towards sustainability targets.
• Collaborating with IT and relevant teams to automate data capture, including third-party data.
• Leading sustainability initiatives like climate scenario analysis, scope 3 emission modelling, and nature positive programs.
• Overseeing community engagement programs, modern slavery, responsible sourcing programs, and sustainable packaging efforts.
• Conducting desk research and engaging stakeholders to stay informed of ESG frameworks and required disclosures.
• Project managing internal reporting, external compliance, and market disclosures, including sustainability and ESG indicators, as well as the annual external audit.
• Leading the 2-yearly materiality refresh process and managing consultants delivering reporting-related work.

 What You Will Bring:

• At least 4 years of experience in a sustainability or reporting role, preferably within consumer-focused businesses or agribusiness sectors.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Sustainability, Finance, or Accounting.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in public sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures, with a solid understanding of climate scenario analysis and carbon reporting.
• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and emerging climate and nature disclosure requirements.
• Experience in legislative compliance and coordinating due diligence audits related to sustainability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes at both executive and board levels.
