Your Impact:
Based at our Auckland CBD office, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of all raw material and packaging material vendors supplying our factories and Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs).
You’ll play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a robust Vendor Assurance Framework—ensuring our material suppliers meet a2MC’s high standards, support innovation, and maintain supply continuity.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving the Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS) for all raw material and packaging suppliers.
- Conducting supplier risk assessments, audits, and approval processes in line with global food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., CFDA, MPI, Codex, EU, FDA).
- Driving supplier development initiatives to reduce defects, ensure compliance, and enable innovation.
- Partnering with Procurement, Legal, Manufacturing, Regulatory, R&D, and Supply Chain to align on priorities and resolve issues.
- Investigating supplier quality incidents, leading corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensuring timely closure.
- Providing insights and reporting to Quality and Business leadership on supplier performance and risk management.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in Quality, Food Safety, or Supplier Quality Assurance within food, dairy, or pharma sectors.
- Strong knowledge of global food safety standards (CFDA, MPI, Codex, FDA, EU, FSSC/ISO 22000).
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier/TPM management, auditing, and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across global supply chains.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and compliance.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
